How to Shut off LG Optimus 7 Camera Sound

In order to shut off the LG Optimus 7 Camera’s sound, we should enter into the Airplane mode. Remember that you must first to root your LG Optimus 7, or it won’t be successful. LG Phone Problem and Solution

1.Press ##634# in the "phone" app to enter the MFG
2.Enter the password: 277634#*#
3. Press 7.Engineer Menu
4. Press 6.Other Setting
5. Press Edit registry
6. For "Select ROOT_PATH" : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
7. For ‘Input SUB_PATH" : Audio\StreamClass\Output\10
8. For Input KEY and Select data type ,
Input:BypassDeviceGain
Select: DWORD
9. For Input data : 0
10. Press "Set"
11. Reboot your phone
12. Finish!!!

The volume of the LG Optimus 7’s camera shutter sound depends on the volume of the ringtone, you need to set the ringtone volume to be zero to mute the shutter sound. LG-Optimus info

    A new software update has been released from official LG site. Its Android 2.2.2 version of froyo for LG Optimus C. Although this is not the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, but don’t worry, it will be available soon. Some websites say June/July, but don’t hold me to that. LG Android Phones

    What’s the difference between Android 2.2.1 and Android 2.2.2?

    Android 2.2.1 and Android 2.2.2 are two minor revisions to Android 2.2 (Froyo). There are no new features added in these revisions. The revisions only included some improvements and bug fixes. The first revision to Android 2.2 was released in May 2010. Android 2.2.1 included improvements mainly on Gmail application and Exchange Active Sync. It also received an update to Twitter and refreshed weather widget. Android 2.2.2 was released in June 2010. There were complains about an email bug that randomly select a recipient from the contact list and forward a random message in the inbox on its own. Android 2.2.2 update was released mainly to address this email bug that randomly forward the text messages in the inbox.       That’s not a big problem. After a search, we’ve found that the LG Optimus C tethering works using the "Wireless Tether for Root Users" app. That’s means your should to root your LG Optimus C firstly. But, Cricket has a 1GB limit before throttling back your bandwidth, so in my opinion it’s only worth using for emergencies. LG Android Phones

          How to Root LG Optimus C for GingerBread

          How to root LG Optimus C via Gingerbreak? I asked my friend to do me a favor. And they did give me the method. I browsed the xda-developers.com and root my LG Optimus C successfully. Here is a possible solution for obtaining root access on the Cricket LG Optimus C via the Gingerbreak APK. This crazy method has spread like wildfire and can root many phones. LG Android Phones

          About

          The GingerBreak APK is a wrapper around the newly released GingerBreak exploit (credits to The Android Exploid Crew), which is meant to attain root access on GingerBread. This specific exploit may work on various Froyo and Honeycomb versions as well. LG Phone Problem and Solution

          What the APK and exploit do is as follows: LG-Optimus info
          - The APK puts the right files in the right place to run the exploit
          - The APK runs the exploit
          - The exploit attempts to attain root access
          - If it succeeds, the exploit remounts /system as read-write and runs the installer script
          - The installer script attempts to install the su binary and superuser APK, and reboots

          Some important things to know:
          - You must have USB debugging enabled on your LG Optimus C
          - You need to have an SD card (formatted and) inserted – if it doesn’t work, try formatting the SD card in your computer, or switching it with a different (or old, etc) SD card
          - The APK must be installed to LG Optimus C, NOT SD card
          - The exploit may take a while to run, but not more than 10 minutes, if it does, get me a logcat, and reboot the LG Optimus C. In rare occasions, even if your LG Optimus C does not reboot, you may still have root. So check that out after you manually pull battery after 15 minutes or so of being stuck.
          - Always reboot between root attempts!
          - While (temporary?) root access may be attained, due to locked bootloaders, efuses, S-ON, and whatnot this may still not work on your LG Optimus C. For temproot purposes, use the raw binary exploit (linked below), not this APK.
          - The GingerBreak exploit should not be used to attain temproot and continue using the device. It fscks vold, you do not want to be running like that. You want to reboot! So if the root doesn’t stick, you (still) have a problem.

          Installation
          - Optional: Press the Thanks button below this post
          - Make sure USB debugging is enabled
          - Make sure you have an SD card (formatted and) inserted
          - Get the APK on the LG Optimus C somehow, and install it
          - Open the APK, press the root button
          - Wait a few minutes. If there are no problems, the device will reboot (note that the reboot itself can take like 10 minutes due to cache wipe)
          - Make sure the Superuser app is install and working
          - Optional: Install BusyBox from Market (I personally prefer the stericsson installer)
          - Optional: Uninstall GingerBreak, you don’t need it on your LG Optimus C anymore
          - Optional: Make a donation

          WARNING: Apparently on some devices the root exploit causes the SD card (internal or external) to be formatted. Also, if it gets stuck but you do see the card mounting/unmounting, try formatting your SD card yourself and try again (or use a different SD card) – often this works (a fix for both issues is being looked at)

            CM7 Gingerbread for LG Optimus M

            CM7 is a custom ROM by asop based on Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) and now finally be available for our LG Optimus M. CM7 is built straight from the Android Source, and is as close to it as possible. Only changes to make all phone functions work are made. Simply place this on your sdcard, WIPE!, and flash. On first boot be sure to skip past the setup and go to settings > cmod settings > display, and disable the screen on and off animations. I hope you all enjoy. Report bugs in this thread.             CM7 Gingerbread ported for LG Optimus M v0.1

            Update:
            A2SD support has been added. You will need an ext3 partition on your sdcard. BACKUP YOUR STUFF BEFORE YOU CREATE IT! Can be created using joneidy’s custom recovery. After you do this and flash the rom your apps will be installed to /sd-ext/ It will not show your internal memory as being larger but I can assure you you will use about 90% less of your internal memory. Have fun!

              How to Downgrade LG Optimus C back to stock

              Following it the corrected instructions on how to restore your Cricket LG Optimus C back to stock. I have confirmed this works. I have performed these exact steps on my own LG Optimus C. LG Android Phones

              Credit for some of the instructions for resetting the LG Optimus C back to factory go out to mmarz (http://forum.androidcentral.com/opti…-untested.html) and 00_wrath_00. I have just edited their instructions and added some of my own experience with resetting my own LG Optimus C back to factory. LG Phone Problem and Solution

              As stated in mmarz thread. Warning: This instructions will brick your phone, no one should try this without any preparation. I will not responsible for any damage. The method did work for me, I have tested this on my won LG Optimus C, but did not know whether this is works on your phone.  LG-Optimus info

              How to Downgrade LG Optimus C back to stock Steps:

              1. Download the package I have put together to restore phone to factory http://www.mediafire.com/?3z0hln0k8dujsda
              2. Extract it into your C:\ directory such that KP500-Utils-EN.exe is located: C:\KP500-Utils-EN-v0.4.2\KP500-Utils-EN.exe along with cab file.
              2. Firmware and KP500-Utils-EN.exe should be located within the same directory
              3. Make sure you have the most recent version of LG cellular Support Tool cellular Phone Support. Uninstall older version and re-install the latest if you do not already have.
              4. Turn off your phone and take out the microsd card
              5. Turn phone back on
              6. Connect your phone with the USB
              7. Make sure you have your phone in USB debugging mode by going to Settings/Applications/Development and tapping on USB debugging
              8. Run KP500-Utils-EN.exe
              9. Press the letter on your keyboard and press enter
              10. Type LW690 for Phone Model and press enter
              11. Type LW690ZV5_01.S5_01.cab and press enter
              12. Type LW690ZV5 for the Version and press enter
              13. The updater in my package will open up and probably complain that the phone is not connected. Just click restart and the program will continue.
              14. Allow the program to do it’s thing. Your phone eventually should reboot with a screen that says it’s upgrading.
              15. Wait until the downgrade is complete and the phone reboots. Do not unplug your phone until the program asks you to exit.
              16. For me, it went back to my home screen and did not loop on the animation screen. But if it does loop on the android animation don’t panic. Pull the battery out.
              17. Perform a factory reset by going into settings menu/privacy and click on factory data reset.
              18. Perform factory reset.
              19. Then wait. Phone will start up and animation will take a while till it gets to the Welcome screen. This brought me back to a factory Cricket ROM, unrooted.

                I got myself a T-cellular G2X Android Smartphone last Friday, but when i connect it to my PC (Win7) it can’t be installed properly. It says that it can’t find drivers for this product. I’m using the standard USB-cable that came with the T-cellular G2X. I’ve searched the whole web, finally found a USB Driver for my T-cellular G2X P999. LG Android Phones
